I was truly honoured to be the recipient of the Award for Best Work by an Emerging Artist at the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) Members’ Exhibition of Selected Works yesterday at the Papermill Gallery at Todmorden Mills, Toronto. The piece selected for the show is “Cheltenham Badlands, Study 1”, which, I am pleased to say, was sold at the opening reception. It was a pleasure to meet and learn about many of the other artists at the show and view their amazing artworks.
My deepest thanks to John Ashbourne, member of the OSA, for sponsoring me in to the show.
A newspaper article (InsideToronto.com and the Etobicoke Guardian) has been written here:
The OSA Members’ Exhibition of Selected Works opens today and runs until September 13, 2015. I am very proud to have “Cheltenham Badlands, Study 1” in the exhibit as one of Ontario’s ten emerging artists selected by the jury. The show is held at the Papermill Gallery in Todmorden Mills, Toronto, at 67 Pottery Road. I am looking forward to seeing some of Ontario’s finest art at the opening reception on August 23, from 1 to 4pm.
A new exhibition, “A Roundabout Way”, a two artist show with my photography and talented ceramic artist Ann Renderaad has opened at the Gibson Centre in Alliston, Ontario.
