Upcoming Solo Exhibition: Serenity

International award-winning Canadian artist Peter Dusek (www.peterdusek.com) presents Serenity: Inspired by the philosophies of Japanese Zen and Chinese Tao, Serenity is an exhibition of contemplative minimalist photographs distilling the elements of Ontario’s Muskoka and Georgian Bay region into their purest form. Like slowly sinking into a warm bath, the exhibition will remove the viewer from the chaos of modern life and instill a feeling of Serenity in the heart and mind. Serenity is part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival and will take place at Abbozzo Gallery at 401 Richmond St. West, Suite 128, Toronto from April 29 to May 27 with the opening reception with the artist on Saturday, April 29th, from 1 to 4pm.

Abbozzo Gallery’s Display at the Affordable Art Fair in New York City

I have several pieces in New York City at the Affordable Art Fair, as one of Abbozzo Gallery’s artists. The AAF is on from September 9 to 13, 2015 at the Metropolitan Pavilion.

This is a photo of Abbozzo Gallery‘s booth at the fair. A nicely planned colour palette. My photograph, “Cheltenham Badlands, Study 1” can be seen in the centre of the booth.

Art Gallery Representation {Canadian Artist}

I am very pleased to announce that I am now being represented by Abbozzo Gallery, an excellent art gallery, in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Their blog post about the announcement is here. And my information page on their website is here. The gallery was very pleased with the success of my first solo exhibition, Tranquility, featuring 19 toned black and white photographs of Canadian landscapes in central Ontario. I am looking forward to work together in the future.

Rotary Club of Etobicoke Wine and Cheese

The Rotary Club of Etobicoke, that I am a member of, has amazingly, generously, kindly (too many words to list here) organized a wine and cheese reception for my show, Tranquility, as an official club event. It was a wonderful evening, being able to share the fine artist side of me with many club members for the first time. I thank everyone for coming!
