37th Insights Juried Exhibition of Fine Art

I’m heading down tonight to the opening reception for the Elora Arts Council’s Insights exhibition at the Wellington County Museum & Archives in Fergus. Looking forward to the presentations and chatting with people. My piece in the show is “Morning Rays” framed to 29 x 35.5″, which is a photograph of the northern edge of Hockley Valley in Ontario showing layers of hills and trees and the sun’s rays lit up by the cold autumn morning’s mist. I still remember how the temperature was close to zero degrees Celsius and how my hands were stiffening up with the cold. The sun’s warm rays were most welcome. “Morning Rays” is part of my Tranquility series, which was originally shown at Abbozzo Gallery in 2015. Two editions of “Morning Rays” hang at the two Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Toronto.
