The Society of Canadian Artists 48th Open National Juried Exhibition — “Large Works Show” opened yesterday. The exhibition runs from July 11 to August 11 at the Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery. I am looking forward to attending the opening reception, which will be on Sunday, July 17th from 2 to 4pm. All art in the show can be seen (and purchased online) here:
The second Canadian Saks Fifth Avenue store opened on February 25th at Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke and has a complete set of works which Saks purchased from the exhibition, “Tranquility”, which took place at Abbozzo Gallery located in downtown Toronto. The artwork hangs in the Saks Fifth Avenue Club VIP lounge, the men’s made-to-measure VIP room, throughout the rest of the men’s clothing floor, and also in the watches/jewelry department. These works, in limited editions in framed sizes ranging from 17 x 21″ to 42 x 42″ are available to be purchased at Abbozzo Gallery. The entire series of photographs of “Tranquility” can be viewed here.
I was a pleasure to visit the new Canadian Saks Fifth Avenue flagship store at the Eaton Centre in Toronto to see art from my exhibition, “Tranquility” at Abbozzo Gallery, in the men’s made-to-measure lounge and in other places throughout the men’s floor. These works, in sizes from 17 x 21″ to 42 x 42″ framed are available to be purchased at Abbozzo Gallery. Pictures follow. The entire series of photographs can be viewed here.
I am very pleased to announce that Saks Fifth Avenue from New York City has purchased two copies of my exhibition, Tranquility — 38 pieces in total — to display and represent Canadian art at the two stores are will be opening in the GTA. One store will be at the Toronto Eaton Centre, due to open on February 18th, and the other one, at Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke, to open later the same month. It is truly an honour to have been selected as one of the artists to set the mood for Saks Fifth Avenue’s luxury brand. Abbozzo Gallery in Toronto currently has an exhibition of works from Tranquility in their Feature Gallery. Details of the store opening can be found in this article from the Toronto Star.
