Saks Fifth Avenue Art {Toronto Art}

I am very pleased to announce that Saks Fifth Avenue from New York City has purchased two copies of my exhibition, Tranquility — 38 pieces in total — to display and represent Canadian art at the two stores are will be opening in the GTA. One store will be at the Toronto Eaton Centre, due to open on February 18th, and the other one, at Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke, to open later the same month. It is truly an honour to have been selected as one of the artists to set the mood for Saks Fifth Avenue’s luxury brand. Abbozzo Gallery in Toronto currently has an exhibition of works from Tranquility in their Feature Gallery. Details of the store opening can be found in this article from the Toronto Star.

Member of the Ontario Society of Artists {Canadian Artist}

I received a very exciting letter this morning saying that I have been elected as a member of the Ontario Society of Artists, Canada’s oldest running artist society. Founded in 1872, OSA has been instrumental in establishing many major Canadian art institutions, including the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts, the National Gallery of Canada, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Ontario College of Art. For me become a member of that organization is an honour beyond words. I feel very small and filled with wonder to be in a group of Canada’s best-known painters, sculptors, printmakers, and photographers, in our time and in the past.

Art Gallery Representation {Canadian Artist}

I am very pleased to announce that I am now being represented by Abbozzo Gallery, an excellent art gallery, in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Their blog post about the announcement is here. And my information page on their website is here. The gallery was very pleased with the success of my first solo exhibition, Tranquility, featuring 19 toned black and white photographs of Canadian landscapes in central Ontario. I am looking forward to work together in the future.
