Case Studies
Global Furniture Group
As the final touch to complete a multi-million dollar corporate showroom, I held several meetings with Global Furniture Group‘s Vice-President of Design, Mark Campbell and chief architects from Toronto design firm, Johnson Chou Design to select artwork for the showroom and showroom lobby. After an extensive selection process of my artwork, ten large pieces were selected along with their framing design to match the surroundings with white, black and stainless steel frames and acrylic glazing. The artwork was delivered and professionally hung on walls surfaces ranging from marble to engineered wood. Feedback from Global Furniture Group a year later indicated that they felt the artwork increased sales by almost 10%.
We forged a long term relationship with Global Furniture Group subsequently holding a special private reception at my exhibition, Serenity, at Abbozzo Gallery for the top architects and designers in Toronto. In addition, Global has used an image of one of my artworks for their Christmas post card sent to their business customers.
Founded in 1966, Global Furniture Group offers a comprehensive portfolio of furniture solutions that are designed and engineered to meet the changing needs of the Workplace, Education and Healthcare markets. That promise continues today through a network of vertically integrated suppliers, manufacturers and distributors who bring their products to market around the world.
Multimatic Inc.
After several meetings with upper management and the owners of Multimatic Inc., four large pieces were selected to add an elegant touch of Canadian landscape for a corporate boardroom and common area.

Smallrock Capital
Smallrock Capital is the holding company for Multimatic Inc. and several other businesses. After the purchase of artwork for the Multimatic offices, I was commissioned by the owner to create a custom piece of artwork for Smallrock. The subject was a tree and three rocks in the courtyard of the Smallrock and Multimatic buildings. The primary challenge was to photograph the tree and rocks and exclude the buildings and surrounding bushes, trees and landscaping. I chose to create one of my signature scenes by digitally “placing” the tree and rocks in an open landscape with a just a hint of treeline in the distance. We decided that a stainless steel frame sized 42 x 42 inches with non-reflective glass would best show off the large photograph.
