ASMP Best of 2015 {Canadian Photographer}

I am very proud and honoured that I have been selected as one of the twenty-four “Best of 2015” photographers by the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), the premier trade association for the world’s most respected photographers, founded in 1944 with 7,000 members in over 30 countries. I also feel humbled to stand with the other selected photographers — their work is truly world-class.

I am very honoured to have received the Juror’s Choice Second Place award at the OAG Fall harvest of Colour Show for my photograph, “Island Lake Bridge, Study 1” made at the Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville, Ontario. It was a pleasure to see the great art for sale at the show and speak to the visitors at the reception.

I have several pieces in New York City at the Affordable Art Fair, as one of Abbozzo Gallery’s artists. The AAF is on from September 9 to 13, 2015 at the Metropolitan Pavilion.

Recipient of the Award for Best Work by an Emerging Artist {Ontario Artist}

I was truly honoured to be the recipient of the Award for Best Work by an Emerging Artist at the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) Members’ Exhibition of Selected Works yesterday at the Papermill Gallery at Todmorden Mills, Toronto. The piece selected for the show is “Cheltenham Badlands, Study 1”, which, I am pleased to say, was sold at the opening reception. It was a pleasure to meet and learn about many of the other artists at the show and view their amazing artworks.

My deepest thanks to John Ashbourne, member of the OSA, for sponsoring me in to the show.

A newspaper article (InsideToronto.com and the Etobicoke Guardian) has been written here:

Art Gallery Representation {Canadian Artist}

I am very pleased to announce that I am now being represented by Abbozzo Gallery, an excellent art gallery, in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Their blog post about the announcement is here. And my information page on their website is here. The gallery was very pleased with the success of my first solo exhibition, Tranquility, featuring 19 toned black and white photographs of Canadian landscapes in central Ontario. I am looking forward to work together in the future.
