Abbozzo Gallery, at 401 Richmond St. in Toronto, is holding a Holiday Group Exhibition from December 5 – 21. I have three pieces in the show: “Shibumi” (43 x 103 inches), “Two Trees” (20 x 20 inches) and “Fences Meet, Study 2” (8 x 8 inches). The works can also be seen on the online art site Artsy.
From the gallery:
“Happy Holidays from us at Abbozzo Gallery! Here we are capping off another successful decade at Abbozzo Gallery and we wanted to thank you for your continued support. This December we’re hosting our annual Holiday Group Exhibition featuring a variety of our roster artists including Jennifer Walton, Heather Horton, Marie Rioux, Richard Jacobson, Peter Dusek, Arnold Zageris, Barbara Amos, Alex Thompson, Elaine Goble, Thomas Chatfield, Dan Steeves, Brian Harvey, Elle Belz, and Patty Maher. There is also work available by Atlantic Canadian artists David Blackwood and Kristine Koch. A portion of Stan Olthuis’ exhibition, Proximity II, will be continuing in the Feature Gallery.”
Peter’s upcoming exhibition, “Serenity”, part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival opens next week, on April 29, with an opening reception from 1 to 4pm. The exhibition information is now online on the CONTACT Festival website.
International award-winning Canadian artist Peter Dusek (www.peterdusek.com) presents Serenity: Inspired by the philosophies of Japanese Zen and Chinese Tao, Serenity is an exhibition of contemplative minimalist photographs distilling the elements of Ontario’s Muskoka and Georgian Bay region into their purest form. Like slowly sinking into a warm bath, the exhibition will remove the viewer from the chaos of modern life and instill a feeling of Serenity in the heart and mind. Serenity is part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival and will take place at Abbozzo Gallery at 401 Richmond St. West, Suite 128, Toronto from April 29 to May 27 with the opening reception with the artist on Saturday, April 29th, from 1 to 4pm.
I am very pleased to announce that I am now being represented by Abbozzo Gallery, an excellent art gallery, in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Their blog post about the announcement is here. And my information page on their website is here. The gallery was very pleased with the success of my first solo exhibition, Tranquility, featuring 19 toned black and white photographs of Canadian landscapes in central Ontario. I am looking forward to work together in the future.
The Rotary Club of Etobicoke, that I am a member of, has amazingly, generously, kindly (too many words to list here) organized a wine and cheese reception for my show, Tranquility, as an official club event. It was a wonderful evening, being able to share the fine artist side of me with many club members for the first time. I thank everyone for coming!
The Abbozzo Gallery has generously extended the photography exhibition, Tranquility, for two more weeks until June 12, 2015. This is a great chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of Toronto life and enter the room and spend some time basking in the peaceful and quiet atmosphere.
I’m pleased to announce that I will have a solo photography exhibition, “Tranquility”, which will run from May 5 to May 29, 2015 at the Abbozzo Gallery, 401 Richmond St. West, Suite 128, Toronto, Ontario, located at the corner of Richmond and Spadina. Almost 20 limited edition toned black and white photographs printed on Hahnemühle and Canson Infinity fine art papers with archival pigment inks will be on display and available for purchase, sized from an intimate 16×20″ to a grand 40×40″.
For more details, a show description, and the pieces that will be on display please see the Tranquility web page.
