I’m thrilled to share that one of my photographs is part of the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) “Members Exhibition of Selected Works,” currently on display until April 27, 2025 at the Georgina Arts Centre & Gallery in Sutton West, Ontario. This exhibition, a celebration of the diverse talents within the OSA—Canada’s longest-standing art society, founded in 1872—brings together works that reflect the richness of our artistic community. It’s an honor to be part of this legacy, showcasing alongside fellow artists who inspire and challenge me.
The piece chosen for the show is “Tree of Tranquility,” presented at 36 x 36 inches, framed in a white maple reveal frame. This photograph captures a serene moment—a solitary tree standing in quiet stillness, overlooking the water of the Georgian Bay, in Killbear Provincial Park. Its form is a meditation on balance and peace. Rooted in Zen-inspired minimalism, it uses negative space to invite reflection, a theme central to my work. I wrote this poem to capture the feeling:
On a warm, bright day,
Water laps against the shore,
A tree leans in to listen.
The exhibition opening reception is on Sunday, April 6, from noon to 3 p.m., welcoming the public to experience the art firsthand. Admission is free, and the Georgina Arts Centre, located at 149 High Street, offers a warm, contemporary space that elevates the viewing experience. If you’re in the area, I’d love for you to stop by and immerse yourself in the collection—it runs for a limited time, so don’t miss it!
Being an elected member of the OSA since 2015, and having served on its board, I’ve always valued its mission to foster visual arts in Ontario. This show is a testament to that spirit, and I’m grateful to share my vision within it. For those who can’t make it, you can explore “Tree of Tranquility” and more of my work in the gallery section of this site. As always, I hope these images bring a moment of calm amid life’s storm.
Thank you for your continued support—it means the world to me.
